What is Frozen Fenway?

College hockey returns to Fenway Park! The event is highlighted by a Women's college doubleheader featuring Harvard vs. Quinnipiac, followed by Boston University vs. Holy Cross on January 6th. Additionally, join us on January 7th for the two Men's college games, Northeastern vs. UConn and UMass vs. Boston College. You'll want to see Frozen Fenway, so please continue reading to learn more about the event.

What Does Frozen Fenway Entail?

The 2023 NHL Winter Classic between the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins will be followed by Frozen Fenway 2023, presented by Moderna and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Fenway Park will host some of college hockey's most prestigious teams. There have been 16 Hockey East Tournament titles combined among the four participating teams and six NCAA tournament titles. Boston University faces Holy Cross, the conference's newest member, in the Hockey East women's matchup.

When Can I Participate?

This event will be held on Friday, January 6th, and Saturday, January 7th. Friday features the women's hockey teams, and Saturday highlights the men's teams. Below is the schedule for the event:

Friday, January 6th, 2023 (Women's Doubleheader):

  • Harvard vs. Quinnipiac at 3 p.m.

  • Boston University vs. Holy Cross at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 7th, 2023 (Men's Doubleheader):

  • Northeastern vs. UConn at 2:30 p.m.

  • UMass vs. Boston College at 6 p.m.

Where Can I Go Afterwards?
